Let $u_t=f(u), $with $ f: \mathbb{R}^n \rightarrow \mathbb{R}^n$ a $C^1$-map, $u \in \mathbb{R}^n $ be a system of ordinary differential equations. The stable set of a fixed point $p$ with respect to $u_t=f(u)$ is the set of points $x$ such that the solution $u(t,x)$ that starts in $x$ for $t=0$ satisfies: $\lim\limits_{t \rightarrow +\infty} u(t,x) = p$. If a stable set is a manifold, it is called a stable manifold

-
$C^1$-map : application de classe $C^1$
stable set / stable manifold : ensemble stable / variété stable -
Merci beaucoup!
